Even Del. Albo realized the error of his previous bill and voted for repeal:
Governor Kaine has already called for repeal, so we just need the bill to pass the state Senate and the fees will be eliminated.

January 11, 2008On Wednesday night. Virginia Governor Tim Kaine changed his opinion and called for a repeal of the “abusive driver” fees.
Gov. Kaine’s support for this legislation was one of the reasons it passed in the first place, and he was also steadfast in his support of the fees even after the voter backlash started. However, it’s better late than never so let’s give him credit for admitting his mistake.
